In life, we will not escape from receiving tests and challenges from Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala to test a person's faith and patience. These are among the matters shared in the Friday's Sermon titled "Patience in Enduring the Test of Illness''. The sermon also outlined that among the tests that truly challenge a person's faith and patience is the test of illness that befalls oneself, family members, or the community.

This test is not a sign of hatred and is not something in vain on the side of Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala. In fact, the one that Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala opens to prove faith, elevates the level of patience and cleanses the servant's sin. The Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam taught us to always think well, be patient and increase Istighfar because pain erases sins and is a reason for forgiveness.
